Convergence was the link between national media and the owners of the Oyang 70 which sank with the loss of six lives in August 2010. Our role was to field all media enquiries on behalf of the company, write numerous media statements and liaise daily with Southern Storm’s legal advisers. We also recommended and then prepared Q&A sheets (on key facts and other matters where we had identified a communications risk lay) and subsequently held a media conference.
